Met up with jerri d faulkinator and dropped off our bags in the commons. Got up to Hopkinton about a hour later.. It was cold and the wind picked up a bit while we waited about another hr till we made our way down to the start. I was thankful I purchased the rain suit for my trip... Wore it all the way up to the start and used it as a portajohn right before the gun.

I got out feeling sluggish and waited for a pace to set in. I had a somewhat nauseous stomach but knew my tanks were empty so I wasn't too concerned.

Went through 1/2 a little slower than what I originally had planned. I was fine with where i was and felt I could hang on to this pace even with the headwind we had.

Felt really strong on the hills and passed a lot of runners on the backside of the marathon.

What makes the Boston marathon so great is the crowd of spectators on the course and all the volunteers supporting the race...

Boston 2nd to none!!!

Thank you Sacha.

Running in the Oklahoma wind probably gave me a huge advantage.
