Shanna and I met up with Roger, Courtney and Brett at Rogers hotel and we walked down together to the start. I headed off with Shanna to the E corral and they had a sub elite corral right in front of the e corral. I met Stephanie Andre there and hung out and chatted with her a bit. Also met Brock M in person. Stephanie and I did a short mile or so jogging in circles then they cut us loose to get behind the elites.

The gun went off and I met up with Strava friend Sam Bell and ran the first 5k with him. I saw a lot of running friends I have met through the years.

The race was really warm from the get go. It was really just a regular ol sweat fest. I slowed down a bit after the first 5k and told myself just go off of feel and don't over do it on the front.

by mile 16 i thought I might have overdone it, but reminded myself as in almost all longer races you have highs and lows. I kept pluggin away and ended up winning my ag out but ended up 2nd place in the master div. which was fine by me considering i made the most i ever had, doing something i love doing.

maybe more later tired from driving 7 hrs home.
