Got a nice thunderstorm just before the start of our base 5k. we had a delay about 15 minutes or so and we took off, my legs and breathing felt pretty fresh after Sat. race. I had one dcr go out with me to about a 1/4 mile and then fell off. I had a nice surprise from a zombie about 1.2 miles out and then some deep water crossed the trail and i just went right though it. At the turn around i saw how far ahead i was and just coasted on in, gotta save something for my race this Sat.  Course had a lot of tight turns and cracks in the sidewalk.

Wasn't sure what to expect since i have been racing a bunch the last several weeks... with the cool weather and beautiful day i tried to take advantage of the race.

I did a couple of miles warm up with Roger and Andrew met up with us as we were stretching..We all 3 had PR's today. I was fortunate enough to get the single age (41 yr old) record for OK and missed the whole age group record by 2 sec...

I went out in the lead and stayed there the entire race. There was a slight wind going out but not bad by any means. At the turn around, which was a little confusing because they had 3 cones set up , I was at 20:28. I ended up going around all 3 of them to make sure that I made the correct turn point.

I felt real comfortable with my pace and was thankful for the day we had..Really proud of Roger for getting on the OK record books too.
